Description Triptych of Merciful Jesus by St Faustine (Cracow) with Floral design

This religious triptych represents the painting of Jesus Mercy revealed to Saint Faustina Kowalska in 1931. Our Lord chose this nun to reveal to the world the greatness of her infinite Mercy. It is not a new devotion as if his Mercy was unknown, but Jesus seeing how the world is moving away from God more and more for his great misfortune, wanted to remind man of the immensity of his love which is Summarize in this Mercy at work from the very moment of creation. This merciful Love has reached its culminating point in the Passion of Jesus which is truly the central event of the whole history of humanity. But with the centuries that pass this madness of love is more or less forgotten. From the Passion of Christ flow all the graces of salvation. These graces are symbolized by both white and red ray that spring from the Heart of Jesus,which is the very symbol of his love. The Divine Mercy is intimately linked to the Passion therefore the different devotional practices taught by Jesus to Saint Faustina, to honor her Mercy recall this Passion:
- The painting of the Merciful Jesus with these two white and red rays recalls the water and blood that flowed from the Heart of Christ pierced by the spear
- the prayers of the Rosary of the Divine Mercy are all centered on the Passion: "by his painful Passion have pity on us and the whole world";
- The Hour of Mercy honors the death of Jesus which took place on Good Friday at 15:00;
- The Feast of Divine Mercy takes place on the Sunday following Easter, and the preparatory novena begins on Good Friday.

This devotion to Divine Mercy keep before our eyes the sufferings of Christ during his Passion, not for the sake of sufferings but to remind us that the value of the Passion of Christ comes from the Love with which Christ went to his Passion; Christ accepted this ocean of pain, among other things, as if to make visible this infinite love for man: there is no greater love than to give one's life for those one loves.
